1: "Transforming Tenure Rights: Community-Driven Change in Northern Kenya’s Obbu Region"
A participatory community workshop on land tenure changes was organized by the Gaadisa
Gummi Foundation at its centre at the Maddo Korma in Sololo-sub county of the Obbu region on
30th October 2024. The facilitating modelling workshop engaged participants from the Obbu
region, the Sololo sub-county, for their collective efforts to address pressing land tenure issues.

Findings show risks from unclear land use, government projects, and commercialization threaten progress. Recommendations emphasize inclusive policies, legal clarity, and education to empower local communities.

2:"A Community-Led Resource Mapping and Land Registration: Challenges, Opportunities, and Advocacy for Customary Land Rights in Northern Kenya" . A participatory community workshop (14-17 December 2024) engaged local herders in resource mapping, covering 62 km of the Ambalo rangelands. The study identified six key vegetation and soil types, using indigenous and ecological assessments. Herders provided historical insights into grazing patterns and land use changes.
